From the international terminal (SJO), the domestic terminal is located just a brief, 5-minute walk away in a separate facility. Make sure to allow enough time between your international and domestic flights.
Immigration, baggage claim, and customs control may take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, and you should arrive at the domestic terminal at least 30 minutes before your departure time.
